Around the world
“Dub Echoes” keeps getting selected for festivals around the world. Just recently the film has been screened in Spain (again, after Sónar Festival), Czech Republic, Mexico, Ireland and there are upcoming dates in Finland and Brazil. In Jamaica!
One of the best news we have received regarding “Dub Echoes” was the invitation to be screened at the first Reggae Film Festival. It means a great deal to the whole crew to have the film be shown in Jamaica. Not only because it all started in Kingston, but mostly because it’s their story!

“Dub Echoes” is a documentary that traces the origins of the Jamaican dub music and it’s influence on the development of hip hop and electronic music. The film shows how the Jamaican invention called dub ended up influencing much of the music we hear today, from electronic music to hip-hop, transforming the studio in a musical instrument and giving way to all of sonic experiments.
